All right. Thanks again so much for joining us for class number two on our extremist liberty boot camp on declaring independence. We're going to be covering a lot of principles. We're going to be banning on some of the principles that we covered last time. Let's just get into what the topic is for tonight's class on declaring independence. How do we know the founding fathers were right? What are other societies that have done that? And is it applicable? What do we learn about it today? How is it relevant today are some of the things that we're going to cover tonight? And of course, the purpose of these boot camp classes are to be able to build understanding of the principles that have built free nations, expose the satanic conspiracy, and build an effective resistance to that conspiracy. And we cannot build an effective resistance if we don't have proper understanding of the principles of what we're for and what we're trying to build, as well as what is this conspiracy that we actually face. So these are the topics that we cover into and these are classes these are topics that are not covered any in any other class on the constitution i've taken dozens of them and the most popular classes these are this is stuff that you would not hear anywhere else and we're going to go right into the text of the declaration of independence we talked about last time the laws of nature and of nature's god natural law what is that and this is what This is what we learn from the Declaration of Independence. They said that these truths that they're going to expound in the Declaration of Independence are self -evident. They're obvious. No reasonable person will argue these ideas. And that all among these things that all men are created equal and that they are endowed, meaning given by their creator, certain unanimable rights. So God gives us our rights our rights do not come from government they said that that was self -evident and that among these rights that god gives us are life liberty and the pursuit of happiness the ability to be able to dispense of and do with your property as you see fit and to secure the rights that god gave you governments are instituted among men people create governments to be able to protect their rights that god gave them and that government derives their just powers from the consent of the government. Government only has the power that we give them, legitimately. And so if I can't do something as an individual, that means I can't give that away, right? If I don't have a car, I can't give a car away. If I don't have a power, I can't delegate or give that power to the government to exercise on my behalf. So that's a beginning point of being able to understand what it is, what is government acting beyond its bounds? Do I have the right as an individual to do that thing? If not, they are acting beyond those bounds. And so when any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, protecting your life, liberty and property, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish that government. And then to institute new government. It is their right as a people. I would say their duty as a people, that when government has become dangerous to the protection of your life, liberty and property, it is our right and our duty to either change that if we can or to abolish that government and establish a government that will do those things. And so those are the basics behind the Declaration of Independence, that they laid out these principles. And that we see these things are natural, that they found that these things were natural, that these things are observable facts, that it wasn't something that needed to be written down. It was just like throwing a ball up in the air that we talked about two weeks ago in the class, that these things are observable. It's obvious, no matter what other people say that we get our rights from God, that some of these rights from God, our life, liberty, and happiness, that government was created by the people to get to protect those rights, not to give them. That's an essential part as well that we need to cover. Because we look at the Bill of Rights, the first 10 amendments to the Constitution called the Bill of Rights. They are thou shalt nots. They're not, thou shalt haves. They're not saying, we're going to give you these things. It's the government can't take them away. Your rights are protected. The government can't, you know, the First Amendment says that you have the rights to the free exercise of religion. It doesn't say that the government gives you a church, freedom of the press. The government doesn't give you a website or a printing press. They just can't take that away from you. It's their job to protect that right, not to provide that right. And that distinction is very important, especially today in the world when people say that they have a right to health care. That's not how that works. If you have a right to health care, that means the government can't take it away. Doesn't mean the government provides it for you. Government gets its authority, meaning it's permission from the people. And that if the government does things they're not allowed to do, no matter what the people do, it is the job of the people to get rid of the government. So now, where did they learn these things? You know, that they're these principles of natural law, they're observable. They, they saw these things and that people that have observed natural law throughout time have written these things. And one of the people that they read the most to come to their conclusions and to do the things that they did and believe the things that they believed was this man, Samuel Puffendorf. Who was Samuel Pufendorf? Probably a lot of you never heard of him before. He was around in the 1600s. He was an expert on natural law. He was an historian. But he was most famous for his writings on natural law. And his writings were the cultural foundations of the movement for independence in America. The founding fathers quoted him over and over and over again. And the fact that they quoted him so much and that probably most, if not all of you have never heard of them before, tells us a lot about the other classes on the Constitution that are out there, either in government schools or privately spoken. He was, of course, a traditional Christian in dogman doctrine and that again the founding fathers quoted him quite regularly one of the things that he taught that the founding fathers really took to heart was that about the purpose of government why people get together because government can be so over overbearing at times so why do they build gut why do they form governments he says that they do this to form safeguards against the depravity of mankind that he recognized, yes, people are depraved. And so to protect our rights, people, they gather together. So to avoid the danger of depravity of mankind, agreeable men join forces by interweaving their interests and safety, forming confederacies for their mutual safety and support. To achieve this purpose, those who seek it should be firmly joined together. So people like mine, of course, they come together to be able to protect their rights from those that might want to remove them. But further on, why do they dissolve those governments? These are the reasons why we get together. Why do we dissolve? Among those which join together to form a government in a country, it is absolutely requisite that there be a perfect consent and agreement concerning the use of the means of government. Now, that seems radical because of course the corporate media today talks about how the family fathers compromise so much well of course they did not compromise principle because this is a key thing that they understood this is observable as anything we can see in the universe is that it is essential that when people gather together to form a government that they have to be they have to be in perfect consent as to the means of government, the power that government has. Because if they don't do this, just as much as you throw a ball up in the air and it's going to fall down, if people that don't have an agreement on what government's power are, if they are divided and separated in their opinions, they will be divided into parties and will clash. Now, that's obvious. Today, we can see that. Republicans, Democrats, even people within all those different parties and all of the people outside of those parties, people in the United States in general, let alone in any of the several states, are not united on government. And so what are we seeing? We are not only seeing disagreements in government, but we are seeing disagreements out in society. We are seeing riots in society on a regular basis because we are not following this principle. We are not gathered together with people that are unified and perfect consent on the use of government. And so, of course, there's no other result that can happen. It would be against the laws of nature for anything else to happen, but for the clashes that we are seeing in society today, because we do not have a perfect agreement on government. So now, but that doesn't mean that you just dissolve a government willy -nilly, right? we have the founding fathers explained very specifically that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes you don't just say oh i don't like what joe jed we're just going to you know dissolve this thing you don't do that there's got to be some core principles that were violated before you're allowed before it's reasonable to do this so he says and accordingly all experience has shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms in which they are accustomed. So as long as those evils are sufferable, we're predisposed to just stick it through, stick it out. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism. It is their right. It is their duty, like we explained before, to throw off such government and to provide new guards for their future security. So the founding fathers really felt that this was not. Their declaration of independence was not for light and transient purposes, that they were willing that, you know, if they, if the, the things that they were suffering were sufferable. So they clearly were not sufferable. They could not put up with it anymore. And so they said it is our duty to separate ourselves. It's you, not us. Let's just move on. So what evils did they say were insufferable? And how do we compare them to what's going on in today's world? So the Declaration of Independence, it says these are the key points, right? Well, they said to the king, we need a divorce. We're breaking up. He, meaning the king, has erected a multitude of new offices and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people and eat out their substance. So the king and parliament, they were creating new government officials and new agencies to go out and just bother and harass the people and deprive them of their sustenance. And we see that going on today. Right now, there are at least 345 federal agencies, government corporations, quasi -official agencies, boards, commissions, which all claim authority to write rules for individuals and businesses, these unaccountable bureaucrats, claim the authority to just make up rules on how you run your business, on how you talk to your employees, or how you work with your employees, and what you do with the things produce and on and on and on and on. And so we're seeing the same exact thing right here with this example that the founding father said were inseparable. We see this here, a specific example of the feds actually saying, you know, well, my goodness, you're selling raw milk. You deserve a big fat fine and actually probably go to jail maybe because you're a danger to society. You're a danger to yourself and others because you're selling raw milk. Now, you sell GMO stuff, you sell stuff that causes cancer and causes ADD and all these other things. That's fine. But raw milk, that's a problem. OSHA is going to start finding workplaces up to $13 ,653 per infraction regarding what was going on during the pandemic with companies not complying with their illegal laws. four companies right here in New Hampshire were accused of violating COVID -19 health protocols. They were fined by OSHA, so they were stripped of their substance. And so we see these same things that the founding fathers were dealing with. We're dealing with on an exponential basis. The next thing the founding fathers were dealing with, they said, this far and no further, he has affected to render the military independent and superior of the civil power. So he took on the military on himself, where the Constitution says that in Article 1, Section 8, only Congress has the right to declare war. But the president can't just use the military any way that he wants. But we see here in our country right now, Biden, just on his own accord, sends an extra 1 ,000 troops to Afghanistan as Taliban forces closing on capital. Biden is boosting U .S. troops in Europe because of Russia's war in Ukraine, and we have the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Iraq, Syria, Somalia, Bosnia, just on and on and on of where the president just says, you know what, this is my military. I'm going to send it where I want to. So now the next complaint in the Declaration of Independence was, quote, he has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our Constitution and unacknowledged by our laws, giving his assent to their acts of pretended legislation. We have the same thing, where we have been subjected to jurisdiction, foreign, to our own constitution. OSHA is foreign to our own constitution. It's not authorized in the constitution. Not only that, but we have these international bodies that are literally foreign, not only to our constitution, but to us that are actually ruling over us that are telling us how we do businesses. What are the trade regulations? What are the regulations regarding roads and regarding gambling and so on? And just you go on the list and you see even cities are having to follow international code seeing what we have here with the founding father saying that that was one of the things that deserve the great breakup between us and Great Britain. And there's these plus 83 other bodies. Now, one of the other things, they said that the king transported us beyond seas to be tried for pretended offenses. So that's two different things. We have pretended offenses, meaning there were crimes, pretend crimes, there were pretend laws. Why is it pretend? Because they weren't authorized to do it by the Constitution. So the laws pretend. Now, because you broke this pretend law, now you have a pretend offense that's been created. And so they arrest you and they ship you overseas to be tried for this pretended offense because they know that you're not going to, there's no jury that's going to actually do anything to you because they know you. And so we see here in the United States today that U .S. citizens are being held prisoner in Guantanamo Bay and other foreign prisons. So we have the same thing happening. proving that in Salt Lake City, the police delivered the vehicle to be destroyed. The police helped the rioters. The police aided them at the Capitol and protected. They actually had their own agent provocateurs in the Capitol to start things, and they were protected during that time. And so we see that same thing happening again today. So how do we come about to dissolving, right? Because we were not at a perfect consent agreement concerning the use of government. And so we are dividing into parties and we're clashing. It was the only result that could be expected to happen because of this. And so John Adams saying, you know, he was one that was a little bit slow to actually go along with the idea of independence when his brother when his cousin samuel was was working on it for a long time he says though when it came to the point he says if we postpone independence do we mean to carry on or to give up the war do we mean to submit to the measures of parliament boston port bill and all do we mean to submit and consent that we ourselves shall be bound to pound to powder and our country and its rights trodden down in the dust. The war then must go on. We must fight it through. And if the war must go on, why put off longer the Declaration of Independence? That measure will strengthen us, he said. It is my living sentiment, and by the blessing of God, it shall be my dying sentiment. Independence now and independence forever. The war must go on, but they haven't even declared independence. Little do we realize that the war had been going on, that the Declaration of Independence was basically a formality. They had been declared war on prior to this. And they said, okay, we've got to divide. You're declared war on us. We've got to separate. And we're seeing that same thing happen today in society. So let's look throughout time. What are the reasons why? What are the things that ancient religious groups have done, Israel, the ancient Israel that was designed by God to separate themselves from the world. They separated from Egypt or from Babylon and Leviticus. The Lord said, and ye shall be holy unto me, for I the Lord am holy and have severed you from other people that you should be mine. So when he separated them from Egypt, he said, you know, I severed you. I cut you off from other people, brought you out physically. This idea of being in the world, but not of it is not scriptural. They were all taken out of the world and they were to become a holy peoples because they weren't influenced by the world around them. And Ezra says the same thing. Separate yourselves from the people of the land and from the strange wives. Now, there's a joke in there, I'm sure, about strange wives. But the idea is, right, we're not bringing into our society people that are strangers that will separate ourselves from the culture that we are trying to build, whether it's for liberty or for religious reasons. Because when you start to introduce people of different mindsets, that same thing that Pupendorf talked about, of clashing being the natural result, your culture that you're trying to build, the diminishing of that culture is the natural result. It is the only thing that can and will happen if you start to mix those things together. That's why we're told in Jeremiah to remove out of the midst of Babylon. And Matthew, we're told that, and before him shall be gathered all nations, and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd divided his sheep from the goats. You don't have the sheep having a different mindset, right, amongst the goats. We're like, we're among the goats, but we're not of the goats. No, they were separated from each other. Second Corinthians, again, wherefore come out from among them and be separate, say it the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you. We cannot be touching the unclean society. Otherwise, we become unclean because just like with friends, we want to have good friends because our friends should be influences or good influences on us they are an influence on us hopefully they're a good influence because we are following these principles but if we have friends that are going to separate us from the things that we're that we're aiming towards then it's easier to you know entropy the law of entropy of you know it's easier to make a mess than it is to clean and it's easier to, you know, get fat than it is to get muscle, right? It's easier to lose muscle than to gain muscle. Same thing in this idea. If we are surrounded by evil, we are more likely to adopt that evil than we are to make the evil good. We need to be a light, we need to be the salt of the earth. We need to be the light from afar. And those that are willing to adopt to the ways of the light, they will come to you. You don't come to them because then you start to become like them. And this is exactly what the pilgrims found. And just learning throughout all of our lives through school, what is it that we're always told why the founding father, why the pilgrims left the old world and came to America? They always say it was because of religious freedom. We wanted religious freedom. There's nothing else just And, you know, religious freedom was a part of it, of course, but not the main part. There was something else that they said themselves as to why they separated themselves, why they had to lead the old world to such an extent to come all the way to America to be able to settle and to build their families. William Bradford, in his sundry reasons for the removal from Leyen wrote, But that which was more lamentable, right? He's listing all these other reasons. And he says, but that was more lamentable. We're complaining about more, more of a problem. And of all sorrows, most heavy to be born, was this, that many of their children by these occasions and the great insidiousness of youth in that country and the manifold temptations of the place were drawn away by evil examples into extravagant and dangerous courses, getting the reins of their necks and departing from their parents, even though they were living at home, and I'm sure they had a fairly strict lifestyle, that influence around them was still leaving them to depart from the ways of their parents. Some became soldiers, others took upon them far voyages by sea, and other some worse courses, tending to disilluteness and the danger of their souls to the great grief of their parents and dishonor of God. So their parents understood what it was that they were supposed to be doing. And even if they lived around and they still went to church, they saw that because they were adopting the ways of the world, the way that the culture was going to go. And I laid that out pretty clearly in my book, Invasion Volume 1. You can go get it at invasionbook .com, that process of how it happened here in Utah and how we can extrapolate that in other locations wherever you live. And so we see that same thing happening. So they saw their posterity would be in danger to degenerate and be corrupted. So to prevent that, they said, we got to separate. They followed what the Bible said. The founding fathers did the same exact thing. We see that over and over again, saints followed the same principles. These are principles of natural law. They're unchangeable. No matter when and where you are, these same ideas apply. Brigham Young, when the saints were facing the persecutions and the trials that they were in the Midwest and Missouri and Illinois, he explained this principle. He says that you all know And have doubtless felt for years the necessity of removal provided the government should not be sufficiently protective to allow us to worship God according to the dictates of our own consciences and of the omnipotent voice of eternal truth. And then he quotes scripture. He says, two cannot walk together except they be agreed. Over and over again, we hear the same, you cannot walk together except you be agreed. Otherwise, one of you are going to clash or are you going to become a person that you did not want to become without even realizing it? Joseph Smith said that to be able to see what they could do about protecting their rights. They said they organized into a special counsel to take into consideration the best policy for these people to adopt to obtain their rights from the nation and to secure protection for themselves and children and a secure a resting place in the mountains or some uninhibited region where they can enjoy the liberty of conscience guaranteed to us by the constitution of our country. So they were looking for a place to separate themselves because they were not being allowed to live according to the dictates of their own conscience amongst the society that they were in. And so for a long time, the special council that he talked about was called the Council of 50. And that was established really shortly before him in Hiram's death in 1844. It was in the spring of 1844, and they died in just very few, the first few days of the summer. And so, but for a long time, we didn't have the records available to us to learn about the Council of the 50 and the political kingdom of God that they were establishing to protect their rights and the rights of everyone. During the 1960s, The only book really had, 60s and 70s to really learn about these things was a book called Quest for Empire by Klaus Hansen. And he was somebody that wasn't, you know, a believer in what he was in what Joseph was doing, but he was just using the records and talking about what it was that, what they were working on based on second, third, fourth hand accounts. So didn't have that for very long. And then we had in 2012, so 30, 40 years later, we have the Council of 50, a documentary history, so the Council of 50 minutes during Brigham Young and John Taylor's administrations. And then two years later, we have the Joe Smith papers released the administrative records, which covered the Council of 50 minutes during Joseph's lifetime. And then about that same time, we just finished up our book club covering this, covered the what each chapter covers what historians got out of um reading the council of 50 minutes themselves and what they were able to extrapolate from it and so you have the two the book on the bookends of the books are basically uh observing people that are giving the commentary in the history and then those two books in the middle are just literally here's the history read it for yourself and so now we've got tons of tools that we haven't had before nobody in history has really had access to these things that we have now. And it's really been a great blessing to be able to see what it was that they were doing, how they were working to do it and how it was stopped. And some of the principles that they were working towards and what they based it on, right? You had the Declaration of Independence that had principles that they were basing it on. And then when the Kingdom of God constitution that they were writing was similar. They were listing the principles of why they were doing what they were doing. And it says that we the people of the kingdom of God. do our rights come from God, but everything on this earth comes from God. And all the nations have obtained their power, rule and authority by usurpation, rebellion, bloodshed, tyranny, and fraud. So they were teaching that even the United States, because the United States had deposited from the Constitution by 1844, and so they, the United States and every other nation on the earth was in existence because of usurpation, rebellion, bloodshed, tyranny, and fraud. No other legitimate governments on the earth. And we explain this principle as well, that no other government, kingdom, dominion, authority, power, rule, or law shall be acknowledged by my people. So they were saying, if you consider yourself to be God's people, the only laws that you will consider are the ones that are legitimate because they come from God, and they're going to follow his laws and his principles. And so they continued to teach these things. After the death of the prophet, they were consistent. They said, God is the legitimate ruler of the universe, and no government under him is strictly legal except to be duly authorized and commissioned by him. There never was a legitimate government on the earth standing in the favor of heaven without an inspired prophet to direct its policy, neither will there ever be. God has to have his mouthpiece to administer and to dictate his laws. Now, Orson Spencer was sent to Washington, D .C., to help get the protection of the United States in the Saints' effort to leave the United States. Because even as they were saying, you know, we're fine. You don't want to be a part of us. we don't want to be a part of you, let's separate ourselves, but they are still getting harassed, even as they were doing this. And so Orson Spencer went to D .C. to explain to them why they should be helpful to them in their efforts to separate. He said, and we will lay down the following principle, which the Friends of National Union may do well to consider. The principle is this, that men of congenial interest, friendly interests, should separate themselves from those of adverse. Duh, right? You guys don't like each other, you guys shouldn't be together. You guys like each other, let's get together. They should pair off each to each. I love this. He says, the promiscuous intermixture. Permiscuous. It is immoral to mix heterogeneous bodies for the purpose of unity and strength is alike distant, both from pure religion and sound philosophy, repeating those same things that people throughout history have been able to observe. It is immoral to try and mix these two societies together. So of course, we have to separate those, you know, if you're a communist, you go get the communist. You guys want to, you know, engage in debauchery. You guys go and do your debauchery together. Let's not, let's not intermix our societies together, right? After the death of Joseph and Hiram, of Joseph and Hiram and they were working to leave the United States because the United States had apostatized from the Constitution. They were not protecting them in their rights and their life, liberty and property. And so they had to leave. And how strong was this desire to lead? Because today in government schools were taught that, oh, as soon as they came out to Utah, they were just dying to just become a part of the country again because they were loyal to the country. And this idea is preposterous. It was not until later, as I covered in my books invasion volume one and two, that when, that they were basically blackmailed into begging to join the country again to be able to protect their rights because they were told that as long as you're a territory, we're going to boss you around. As soon as you become a state, we'll let you do what you want. Of course, that was all alive. But anyway, so as they were leaving the United States, these are their sentiments, their thoughts amongst themselves to get the idea of what was really going on, that they were trying to declare independence as a people, just as the founding father said done before. Brigham Young said, the time must come when there will be a separation between this kingdom and the kingdoms of this world, even in every point of view. The time must come when this kingdom must be free and independent of all other kingdoms. Are you prepared to have that thread cut today? Hebracy Kimble explained that very same thing. He says, we shall eventually be a free people and independent people. I will tell, and so he says, so these are linked, these are intertwined. You can't be free unless you're independent of those that wish to do you harm. I will tell you the day of our separation has come and We are free and an independent people. Brigham Young says, as I say as the Lord lives, we are bound to become a sovereign state in the union or an independent nation by ourselves. We were never, we are not now, Utah is not now, and has never been an independent sovereign state in the union. And so we must have an independent state of ourselves. And he explains what the true, the duty of a true minister of Christ, which is to teach them by precept and example, teaching them with words and with actions, how to become an independent nation. But, of course, that's not easy. As we see, the founding fathers wasn't easy, the pilgrims wasn't easy, the saints, it wasn't easy. To some extent, they didn't stick along with it, right? So what are those that came before us had to endure to establish these things? So we know that The price, you know, it's not going to be easy. It's not like just to vote harder and all of a sudden it will be free. You go back to the ancient days and we have here the Roman historian teaching a key principle for them of why they wanted to make sure to keep their culture the way they wanted it. They don't have the culture that I thought, you know, that I would want to be a part of. But he understood What would happen if you intermingle opposing people? He says, those who attempt to distort our religion with strange rights, you should abhor and punish, not merely for the sake of the gods, for if a man despises these, he will not pay honor to any other being. But because such men, by bringing in new divinities in the place of old, persuade many to adopt foreign practices from which spring up conspiracies, factions, and cabals, which are not profitable to monarchy. So, of course, he wanted the monarchy. But that same principle is exactly what Pupendorf said, exactly what we see in the Old Testament, exactly what we see in the New Testament, exactly what we see with the Pilgrims. We just all throughout time, the same exact idea, right? We did not permit anyone to be an atheist or a sorcerer. And so we see as people started to apply this. We look at, of course, when Moses tried to leave Egypt. The pharaoh wasn't too happy about that. We know that. Then we look at after the death of the Savior and we see what happened to the ancient saints. And there's a body in Greece called the Ecclesia. Ecclesia was the name of the legislative assembly of the Athens during the first century. Now the Ecclesia of God is what early Christians referred to themselves as. So they, this is why they received persecution. It wasn't because, you know, well, because they said they believe in Jesus, which meant that they were the ecclesia of God. They were, they were saying that we are independent, not only culturally, but politically. And what we are is a legislative body, a government body. So what happens, right? We see in John, when we follow these principles, we have a warning to us. I mean, it's a promise that says that, you know, it's not going to be easy to do the right thing. Remember the word that I said unto you. The servant is not greater than His Lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they have kept my saying, they will also keep yours. And then the and timothy yay and all that will live godly in christ jesus shall suffer persecution so just because you're you're living you're saying that you believe in christ you go to church you read your scriptures you say your prayers are you receiving persecution this isn't this isn't a you might receive persecution you know just be on the lookout for persecution says you know you shall suffer persecution they persecute the lord they will persecute you so we need to ask ourselves if we're not receiving persecution why not those this is not just like oh that's only for uh ancient israel oh that's only for the ancient saints oh that's only for if you This is what happens when you do this. You throw the ball up in the air, the ball falls down. If you live a life in Christ Jesus, this is what happens. They were building an independent government. See the same thing. The Jews, they worked with the Romans. Did they receive persecution? At that point, no. Christians rejected Roman authority, and they were thrown in the lines dead. Or with, you know, with the gladiators. Persecution in Latterty Saints, they voted as a block. They talked about being given inheritance in the land from God. They taught and implemented the kingdom of God. comes. We don't have to worry about it. We're just here to wait for the world to become wicked enough. Covered that last time as well. And then Jesus will come and he'll establish his kingdom. He says, no, this is something we have to do. We have to take the kingdom. And the longer we wait, the harder it's going to be. So how do we do it? Right? How is it done through time? Another one of the philosophers that the Founding Fathers look to to establish their understanding and to work towards their independence. We see here in the Law of Nations. I'm not going to try to pronounce his name, but it's in the book The Law of Nations from 1758, which says no engagement can oblige or even authorize a man to violate the law of nature. All authors who have any regard to conscience or decency agree that no one ought to obey such commands as are evidently contrary to that sacred law. Those governors of places who bravely refused to execute the barbarous orders of Charles the 9th on the memorable day of St. Bartholomew have been universally praised. So those that resisted the government, they were universally praised because they knew, because it's, you know, hindsight's 2020, those people were praised for resisting. When a sovereign does injury to anyone, he acts without any real authority. A sovereign, I mean somebody claiming to be in charge in the government. When they violate, when they do injury to you by putting undue regulations on you, by taking away your means of providing for your family and so on, taking away your ability to operate your property as you see fit, he's not acting with any actual real authority. So when a prince attempts to deprive us of life or of those, the loss of which would render life irksome, so if he's going to take away something or put a regulation on something that makes your life irksome, who can dispute our right to resist him? This was something that was just today is like, oh, my goodness, that's crazy, that's radical, that's extreme. This is the extremist liberty boot camp. But During the Founders' time, this was blanket across society. They understood this was obvious. Self -preservation is not only a natural right, but an obligation imposed by nature, and no man can entirely and absolutely renounce it. So, right, self -preservation is a right. We have the right from God to defend ourselves against any type of threat to our life or to make our life irksome. And the revelation to the prophet Joseph, he says, the Lord says, here is one principle which is eternal. It is the duty of all men to protect their lives and the lives of the household and no power has a right to forbid it. Nobody has a right to forbid your ability to protect your life and those in your household. Sorry, this is the revelation that that was referring to. I, the Lord saying to you at the church, with one united effort, perform their duties, if they, from this time forth, like Joseph and Egypt, laying up in store against time of famine, every man having his tent, his horses, his chariots, and his armory. So we were supposed to. It was a commandment to be able to not just get your supply of food, but to get your armory and your horses and those things that will help you to move. If those things are not kept, that remain with a scourge also. So if you're not going to stockpile and store weapons, there's a scourge upon you. Therefore, be wise this once. O you children of Zion and get heed to my counsel, say, at the Lord. So, but aren't we supposed to do whatever the government says? We'll cover that next week as well. First presidency in July of 1886, the united voice voice of the first presidency said, quote, God is superior to governments and courts. But he tells the church to befriend the constitutional law of land. It's not constitutional. He says it's of evil. It must support the principle of freedom and maintaining rights and privileges. If not, it comes of evil. Whatever is contrary to the freedom guaranteed by the constitution, which includes not mere belief, but the free exercise of religion. He does not command his people to obey, but says that he shall do, but they shall do his will. So, of course, because only God has the right, the authority to establish laws for his children. And so if something goes against his laws, of course, we are not to obey it. We are to resist. John Taylor, he was always asked this question. He says, you know, do you profess to ignore the laws of the land? He says, no, not unless they're constitutional, then I would do it all the time. So, of course, we have no obligation to follow and obey an illegitimate government order. So what does that, what do I mean, right? Of course. You can see that our government, our current government, all levels, city, county, state, federal, all legitimate. We are a duty bound to disobey them when they violate the law. We are duty bound to defend ourselves, our families and our religion and our liberty. This isn't about learning some weird trick. You don't turn in your driver's license. You don't fill out a form and say, oh, I feel out this form. I didn't, you know, I did it with the right case of letters. And now the government, This satanic beast is going to leave me alone. No, it's not how that works, right? Because this is about all people before that resisted, received persecution. We cannot be afraid to receive persecution to do the right thing. It's just the result of doing the right thing. And if we're not getting it, we're not doing the right thing. God's government is the only legitimate government. And God will only fight our battles if we give him something to support. We've got to separate. If we want this, we are going to have to do it. No one is going to do this for us. And to be able to do that, first we have to lay the foundation. We have to build understanding and popularity for these principles amongst enough people that will do the right thing to be able to have strength in numbers to do this. So again, encourages all to be the worst that we can be. We'll be talking more about what it is that we're trying to build. What is it that culture that we're trying to build? What is that thing that has been prophesied about or eons that is to come and to be built up before the Lord returns so that we can restore lost liberty for all? Thank you all again for joining us tonight. And please share this. And also encourage you to go to invasionbook .com and pick up a copy of Volume one and two of the book Invasion, which goes into even more detail than we go into these classes on these principles, on the conspiracy, and what we're supposed to do about it. What can we do about it right now? And what is an organization that we're doing? So if you like what we're doing, encourage you also to become a member of the Tree of Liberty Society.
