We come to you with gratitude, gratitude for these opportunities,
for so much, Father, but tonight it’s gratitude for these opportunities to better ourselves,
to better serve you, to better understand the world you want us to live in and your law and how to
implement your laws, how to teach others to follow you as well. We pray for your blessing on this
meeting tonight. Those here in attendance and our speaker, may we wisely in your name use what we
learn in our education of others to serve you as well in the name of liberty.
We pray this prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen. Glad to have folks on. I wasn’t sure how many
people were going to be on being a holiday. So I appreciate seeing you all tonight.
What are things that we can do? It’s, you know, it’s important to go through the principles that we
go through and to understand concepts and ideas, understand the threats to what’s going on,
understand real fundamentals of Americanism. But I wanted to get into what are some specific
examples of things that we can do to defend liberty.
A lot of times, a lot of things that we do focus on, it depends. The big concepts that we talk
about, we need bigger numbers to be able to accomplish. So it’s like, well, do we just sit here and
learn until we get bigger numbers? Or are there things that we can do right now? And there are
things that we can do right now. And as I talk about every week, one of the big things that we can
do for Liberty right now is to decrease our ignorance. so that we do not perish.
And because everything that we do is to build understanding of, as well as adherence to,
the principles that have built free nations to expose the satanic conspiracy and to build an
effective resistance to that conspiracy. Okay? So many of you have seen this.
This is our Slim Jim that we have produced of things that people can do right now,
right? No matter who wins elections, no matter… who’s in office, no matter what happens in
government itself, what are the things that we can all do to be able to increase our freedom,
to promote freedom, to fight against the conspiracy? What are the things that we can do right now,
no matter what? So that’s one of the tools that we have available on the website and that members
are distributing all over. And so I want to go over a few of those and then get into some
additional things. uh that we should be doing so the first thing is to network with others uh to
buy life needs and gather resources from those of like mind so meaning this is how you’ve got to
get off the grid so that you are working together that you’re growing different things you know
people can’t do everything you one person can’t grow all the food have the beef have the dairy make
the shoes make the clothes all those types of things so If we’re working together and one person
does this and another person does something else and we’re kind of out of the system, then even if
you are required to have a digital ID and digital currency to buy food or clothing,
we’ve already got a network set up where we can do those things without having to have a digital ID
or digital currency. The second thing is to apply the 10th Amendment of the Constitution.
to you personally right nullify any act of government that violates someone’s life liberty or
property the next one is to be willing to pay the price the founders paid to have the things the
founders strove for which are morality freedom peace wealth and independence and the fourth is to
homeschool or send your kids to a private school or co-op it should take zero government money and
be administered and taught only by people who hold your values An example of a private school
that’s available online no matter where you’re at is Freedom Project Academy. And they have several
different options. They have like a thing where you are with a live teacher and online and you do a
discussion and you do instruction that way. Or they have pre-recorded classes that your child can
participate in at their own speed.
or on your own schedule. And then a third option of there’s just the curriculum and you as a
parent, just go through it with them. And so all kinds of really cool tools at Freedom Project
Academy. And so those are just things that everybody can do right now,
no matter what’s going on, to be able to increase their own personal liberty. And then defend all
of this as if your life depended on it. OK, we’re going to get into some of these things. Right.
Networking. There are different organizations and individuals. Riverbed Ranch is an example of
people that are off grid and that are trying to, you know, work together to be able to produce each
other’s needs. Then you have the Constitution Party and the Independent American Party, which,
yeah, they’re trying to get people elected and whatnot, but they are people of like mind. And so if
you know of a chapter of the John Birch Society or. a local organization of these political parties
in your area i would highly encourage you to be a part of that and to bring tree of liberty society
materials there to influence them and to get them so because even in these organizations that are
more principle based a lot of people are not in these organizations are not informed on those
principles and so it’s important for us to They’re kind of like an easy in, right? Instead of going
to, you know, a baseball game and trying to convince people,
you know, you’re like, oh, there’s a bunch of people at a sports game. Let’s pass out some material
because there’s a bunch of people there. Well, if you go, there might be less people at a John
Birch Society meeting or a Constitution Party meeting. but everybody there is interested in liberty
so you’re you know you’re you’re doing a shotgun you’re instead doing a shotgun approach you’re
doing a rifle approach where you’re you’re you’re grabbing a target and you’re gonna you know have
a much better chance of um finding somebody so it’s it’s about the quality quality over quantity uh
mark yes in addition there are organizations that are considered they’re supporting the party uh
i’ve talked before a number of republican organizations but they’re more constitutional like uh
also in support supporting a candidate or being a candidate you can educate the only reason i ran
for congress was uh or the main reason i ran was to educate and i was able to use that and ron paul
to a great extent the same thing so there there is things you can do with parties but uh certainly
as the tree of liberty tells us voting isn’t a solution right now.
Yeah, but they are great places to go to be able to find people, to be able to build their
understanding and get them engaged in the solution. So I highly encourage people to do that.
That’s a good part of networking in addition to the other part of networking that I talked about
earlier as well.
So just an example, right? You’re going to a meeting and you’re able to pass out a… one of our
slim gyms to the people in attendance uh the next thing is to to nullify right you have people that
uh it’s illegal to collect rain water into barrels and so uh collecting rain water that’s against
you know the the statute and so that’s a way of nullifying or you know not uh signing up your kids
for government school that’s a great way to nullify the in the government indoctrination centers um
yeah Can I ask a question? Please do.
Is this a real thing where they don’t allow collection of rainwater?
That is very, very real. It is illegal in several states. How do they come upon this law,
rule, that it makes it illegal? What’s the thought process behind it?
Why? I know, why? No, no, but what’s the reason that they explain it?
Yeah, how can they justify that? So they claim that you’re taking water out of the groundwater
supply, so they’re claiming ownership of all water that lands on the ground.
And so because it feeds into the city’s water or it feeds into the groundwater for farmers.
they’re saying that if you collect it you don’t allow it to go in there then you’re taking it away
from other people as well so it needs to go into the collective so that they can make sure that
everybody has it that’s that’s what they say wow
yeah okay and and people have been prosecuted it’s not like one of those things that you know is on
the books but you know nobody ever enforces no people are actually prosecuted based on this
Mark, yeah. Yes, and of course this is tyranny, and we could be here for a millennium listing all
the tyranny that’s being imposed upon us and their excuses. So, you know, this doesn’t stand out
among anything else. Your list is excellent on your handout that you were showing us earlier.
of what tyrants do and what tyranny is but you know of course that list is could be uh 10 000 items
could be listed on that list you are sure and these are good start yeah yep uh the next thing is um
you know we we have our own property and you’ll have the government say did you get a permit to
build that and so our response should always be i don’t ask satan has permission to do anything
That’s a way to nullify this. What’s that?
I just have an example for that. Please go ahead.
I was absolutely stunned with what she did, but she did exactly that.
They were building, I guess they had their house built.
but now they needed to build a garage so they just started and then somebody came onto the property
and said you have to have a permit for this and it was going to cost thirty thousand dollars for a
permit and and the sister she went by herself To the county building or wherever it was that she
had to go. And she refused to do it. And he said,
well, you have to, and she says, well, why? Why do I need to pay you $30,000 to build a garage?
He says, well, it has to be inspected. She said, why? Well, it may fall down and you may,
you’ll get, you could get killed. If the garage isn’t built right. And then she,
she told the guy. uh that her husband and everybody working on it was a contractor and they had
built hundreds of these garages and homes and that nothing had fallen down yet and she absolutely
refused to pay it and they did nothing to her
And I was just absolutely pleased with the way she handled it. But she said that she was so scared
when she went down there. And she had to do it, I think, twice more.
And by the time she had to do it the third time, now it was becoming old hat.
She was used to it. And she just stood up to them. And they refused.
and then they wanted to come in and do an inspection and she says no we’re not going to let you on
the property if you want to do that you have to get a what’s it called yeah and she says no you’re
not allowed on the property to even come and inspect it so that garage was built i think about oh i
think about seven years ago five to seven years ago And it’s still standing.
Nothing has happened. It hasn’t fallen down.
And that’s on her, right? Even if it did fall down, that’s not. So if she got a permit and it fell
down, would they then be liable for it falling down?
I don’t think so. No. If it fell down and you went to them and said, you approve this.
Now you’re responsible for it falling down. They’d laugh at your face. Yes.
But now she’ll go down there for various other things that she has to go down there for.
But now she’s the one that they pick to go down there and fight with the guy because he knows her
now. And she has a lot of clout just because of what she did on her own by herself.
She didn’t have anybody else to go with her. Nobody wanted to go with her. And she’s looking at
this $30,000 they’re going to have to pay for a permit. Right.
And she says, no way. And so she went down scared to death and she walked away and she was still
alive.
So she, she had a highly successful, uh,
and now she does all of the business. She, she’s the one who goes down there.
And the guy, he’s still there, and he greets her with friendship and kindness,
treats her really good, and she always gets what she wants.
So, you know, you just talk to her, and you can tell she’s a natural-born scaredy cat.
You know, she just hates doing stuff like that.
But she did it. And each success built on the previous success.
And, you know, she’s an old habit now. She’s an expert. So it’s fun to see it.
It’s scary the first time, but the more you do anything, the easier it gets. Yeah. And you’re still
going to be scared. Like with me, with public speaking, I’m still scared, but I can get through. a
lot easier than i did when i first started so yeah um an example right here with this type of a
pergola i have a friend of mine that he has a home where his backyard um is right up against a
major thoroughfare and he built a gazebo um similar to uh to this pergola over um and he built it
without getting a permit And a city employee came out to his house and demanded to inspect it and
said he didn’t get a permit for it. And he said, go get a warrant. And they did it about two or
three times. And then he sent a cease and desist letter telling them that they are no longer
allowed to come on the property or they’ll be trespassed. They haven’t been back since.
So it’s, you know, as we read in the righteous sword against tyranny.
A lot of a tyrant’s power comes through deception. We believe they have the authority.
We believe that they’re going to enforce their edict through violence.
And most of the time, they won’t. There are times that they will. I’m not saying that there is no
risk. But a lot of the times, it’s completely a bluff. Mark,
yes. When we back a lot of these people in the corner about their violation of our individual
rights, our property rights, nobody’s being harmed, their refuge is they were elected to office,
that a mob chose them. And they’re saying, of course, the mob, that representative of the mob power
supersedes our individual natural rights. So we really have to ideologically,
promoting liberty, confront that tyrannical,
uncivilized, savage notion. Our rights are above whoever’s been elected to an office.
Yeah. Thank you. Absolutely.
So another thing that we need to do to be able to have liberty is to sacrifice the founding
fathers. in the Declaration of Independence said that they were committing their lives,
their fortunes, and their sacred honor. So their lives, right? We spend our time. We’ve talked
about the scriptures that talk about wasting and wearing out our life to expose the hidden things
of darkness. We spend our time promoting the cause, distributing material, sharing books,
bringing people to events. The next thing is our fortunes. The founders put their fortunes on the
altar. There were some that put a hundred percent and it wasn’t like they were poor and they had
nothing to give. We’re talking about, you know, what would be the equivalent of modern day
millionaires gave literally everything to the cause. And so you can do the same thing by sacrifice
your savings, your income, portions of it for the cause of liberty, your sacred honor.
You’re willing to be called names. You’re willing to lose position in your church or in other
organizations because you’re promoting what is right. You’re willing to lose your standing with
others because you’re going to do the right thing.
We’re going to defend it with our lives if necessary. Here’s a modern day example of individuals in
a community in the United States with supposedly elected officials that they then gathered together
against with arms, against their local sheriff, against the… the in power government in Athens,
Tennessee, and they stood up against them and they took their town back by force.
And so we have to be willing to do that same thing. And if we, through nullification and
interposition, we must do that again. We must be willing to do so.
And as we garner more strength, we can gather together with others to take back our towns where we
live. And that’s why it’s an important thing to gather. And, you know, even though I don’t agree
with a lot of the aspects of the Libertarian Party,
immorality and that kind of a thing, but I like and fully support the concept of the Free State
Project, that if you agree with all of those sentiments, that that is definitely something that you
should gather together with.
Those types of things are really important where we had a free liberty city project where we had
people all agree to move to a certain city and and either have jobs there or remote work or
whatever it was. We had more people moving to a certain geographic location. We’d be able to do
this type of thing very, very easily and be able to have that city be a bastion for liberty
because. We either took it back by force and everybody left. I mean,
everybody that was either still in power or that was then put into power would know that they
better stay in line or they’re going to get booted again. Or, you know, anybody that came in after
that happened would know that they had to do this. And so this is an important thing that we have
to be willing to do.
And then always building our understanding, right? We have books for ourselves to read. These are
all books that I highly recommend. We just published on Amazon the Simonini letter,
which is a companion to the history illustrating, I mean,
the memoirs illustrating the history of Jacobinism. It’s a follow-up letter between the author and
another Catholic priest. talking about the principles that were laid out in there. So that’s
something new that we just translated for the first time from French to English.
So these books are all available either on our website or at shopjbs.org or on Amazon to be able
to get your own copies of. And we’re producing a bunch of more books coming out very,
very soon. And so we need to be building our own understanding so that we can defend something.
because and because we understand it um it’s you know it’s a good thing to be able to kind of have
a glancing um understanding of something you’re like oh i don’t support that but if we’re going to
increase our effectiveness it’s important that we study that subject in depth so that we can be a
intelligent advocate for correct principles and against evil and so You know,
those are different levels, right? The first level is, okay, I’ve gotten a brief understanding of
the subject. I’m not going to lend my support for it, which is, you know, it’s a good start. But
the next level is, okay, I’m going to be an informed, intelligent advocate for this idea.
To be able to do that, you’ve got to understand it. And that takes reading.
You know, even watching a documentary on a subject is only going to get you so far.
Reading, leaders are readers. We’ve got to do more reading if we’re going to be leaders.
Building an understanding, we have our website, the educational resources on there, where you can
go there and listen to audiobooks, read PDF books, watch videos about natural law,
and then take to the next one of the godly role of government, then to the constitution, then to
the kingdom of God, socialism and communism, the conspiracy. civic responsibilities solutions and
nullification so as we go through that there is just a just a huge number of materials that we can
bombard ourselves with to build our understanding. If we think we’ve read it all and we’ve heard it
all, I’m going to tell you, you’re wrong. I have been doing this, spending a vast majority of my
day, five days a week for 25 years now,
24 years. And I’m telling you every week. I learn something new.
I find something new. I discover something new. And so I would hope that we would never think that
we’ve, quote unquote, arrived and that we’ve got nothing else to learn.
As we learn, we can say, oh, that’s bogus because we have experience. And we can say, OK,
I don’t need to waste my time on that. But at the same time, there is still more to learn.
And we have those tools. Also, we should be a self-starter. I would encourage all of every member
of the Tree of Liberty Society to start a video channel, whether it’s on YouTube or Bitshooter,
Rumble or Odyssey, whatever it is. I don’t care where it is. I would just encourage every one of us
to start a YouTube channel. And on that YouTube channel, and I don’t mean that you just have, like,
I want every one of us to be, we all have to be talking heads and we all have to be experts. and do
a new show every week and and that kind of a thing um no there’s you can you have another channel
that just their whole existence is just to repost ours and you know that that can be very helpful
um you can also post our videos with your own commentary commentary videos are fantastic where
you’re going through and especially if it’s one of ours where you’re giving it credence it’s
another voice um giving um a recommendation to the things that we’re talking about and so that’s
you know it’s there is less effort you know you’re not having to do the research and have it all
together you’re just going through and playing a few clips and commenting on it very you know low
um production low effort uh but very effective uh thing to do and you can but also record your own
show if you feel like you’re you haven’t you know that you can be an effective um informed advocate
for a certain principle, do your own video on a topic. And then I encourage you to mention the Tree
of Liberty Society. Have links in the description of the video to the things that we’re doing. That
can really be very helpful because more people talking about the same subject builds more
understanding, makes it easier for people to catch it in the algorithm. If the algorithm didn’t
feed them our video, it would need to be fed the person your video. And so it’s very helpful.
If more of us, you know, I’m going to say the goal is to have all of us do this and then a
percentage of you are actually going to do it. And so but the more of us that are doing this, the
better that we can be. And if you need help starting a channel, whether it’s YouTube or Rumble or
Odyssey or whatever it is, I’m here to help you start that channel. So if it’s something you need
help with to get started, please, please let me know.
The next thing is to start your own website or blog, right? There’s the tools that are available,
you know, maybe a decade ago, five years ago, even to be able to start one of these things,
you had to know how to build a website or to code or whatnot. But everything is essentially
automated nowadays. And so it’s easier now than it’s ever been. And a blog is the easiest.
It’s kind of the most the basic way to. start a website that has articles that you can put up
there.
Blogger is an example of a brand of blog. WordPress has both websites and blog websites.
Wix is another website that has automated websites or automated blogs.
And there’s just a bunch more. If you just do a Google search for starting a blog,
you’re going to get a ton of links. And on those, you can do,
right, again, repost our articles, reword our articles, link to our articles,
write, use your, you know, find a topic that you like and you start writing an article on it and
maybe link to us, say, hey, you want to learn more? Go over to the Tree of Liberty Society. Having
links to each other and links to your own website is very helpful in the algorithms that help bring
people to and find If somebody is searching a certain topic, the more people that are linked to
them, the more that it’ll come up in the algorithms. So this is very helpful.
Yes, Mark. Yes, on these bloggers, blog site organizations.
I understand it’s one upfront fee they charge, and it’s usually not very much.
Is that correct? So there are free levels on all of them. All of them have a way to just do it for
free. But if you want different bells and whistles, you want to sell something, you want
automation, you know, there’s different things that they will do add-ons on that will cost money.
And then if you want it to look fancier,
there are some things that you pay the money and you can make it look more professional besides
just a plain, you know, blog. and so there are free ways and if you are wanting to invest more to
make it look better that those those are available as well does that answer your question yes do
you have any recommendation among those three um i have no preference no okay i thought i heard a
hand go up and then announced down did anybody else have a comment or a question on that okay
but
along those lines um i did a screenshot And I just went to Wix. This is not me preferencing one of
them over the other. I didn’t get a I don’t get a what do they call that a reference of referral
fee for going to that website.
It’s just the one I’ve decided to pick and I screen recorded the process of getting it started.
And so we’re just going to watch that for a couple of minutes.
You just type in your email because they need to send you the updates. You create.
I goofed up because I’m recording. This is the first time I’ve never been to this website, so I
didn’t even know how it worked. It’s putting in the password right there. Instead, they wanted you
to confirm the email. So you confirm the email, make sure you typed in right, and then you put the
password in and you confirm it and make sure you knew what it was.
I’m just going to fast forward a little bit into the login. So you do that.
And then it’s going to ask you some questions. So that way it can help you find the best templates
that are already built. that you just have to kind of personalize. So I’ll ask you those questions
so that you can start to build the template for the website.
You pick a name for your blog or your website.
Think of something that
might be searchable. People will search for it. It’ll make it easier. And then…
you for goals for the website so that it also gives you different ideas to help.
So, Ben, are you doing this right now? No, I recorded this. So I’m just showing you.
I did this for the first time. I’ve never been to this website. I don’t know how to do it. And it
took me about five minutes to do this.
And so, yeah, there’s no way to.
So I just there’s no.
We can. It’s if you have a website to put in there, then you can make them link to each other.
But I didn’t use that. So these are just different options you can ask for.
So that way, you know, it can make it more personalized as well as you can say, oh,
I guess I need to pay for a upgraded version. Yes, Mark. Yes. What did you mean you can add
templates? What are templates in this context? So, well, it has templates and the more you’re
telling it. the see right here it says pick a pick the website template so it has these basic
things already built in and you just go through and um you pick the kind of the feel that you like
the most and then you go in and you change the pictures you change the text but so i just because i
just just picked one at random and then you go in there and you edit it you this took a minute for
it to load and
so You see on the other side, there’s different ways to add.
You can add a text, you add the pictures, and it’s very user-friendly.
It might take you a little bit to when you first start with it, but once it’s set up, it’s very,
very easy, and it’s almost impossible to goof up. And so I just put in the text I wanted to do.
uh chose the uh domain that i wanted and which meaning the website so because i didn’t pay for um
it’s a free service if you pay money they’ll give you a you get a website a dedicated website right
it’ll be um mark mcspadden.com if you pay for it right because it’s free they give me a generic
website with a ben some random numbers dot wikiside.com slash liberty you know whatever so that’s
that’s why it’s free because you’re not getting a dedicated website for that and then i press uh so
i pressed uh this was that i pressed publish i did that press done and now it’s published it was
literally uh that simple to to do so it’s it’s not it is a little bit time consuming I bet you
within an hour, you could get your first article up. Your blog started your first article up within
an hour. And again, just like you’re with a video channel, if that’s something you wanted to do,
I would be more than happy to do a video call and one-on-one go over it with you and help you
out. So that’s another thing that I’m encouraging as many of us to do as possible as well. Another
thing.
Template you put out there, that could be the. home page correct and then we can put exactly okay
thank you yep so another thing is to organize and give a presentation yourself that we’ve already
created it’s there you get to use the the materials and the script and you can give the
presentation to a group that you belong to or that you’re in charge of or to your neighbors and you
invite them over and you can give the presentation you can invite myself or you can invite moses to
present to your group or to your neighbors You can bring friends to one of the presentations that
we give. Right now, we have two set up every month. We’re setting up a third one pretty soon.
And yeah, even if you’ve already seen something a million times, if you’ve got someone you can
bring, please dredge through it yourself one more time so that you can be there with your friend
and show the excitement and be a part of that with them so they don’t have to go by themselves.
They know somebody. And they’re going to be much more likely to go. Also,
in your area, if there isn’t already one of these liberty classes going on in your area,
start one. Whether you’re the one in charge and you’re the one presenting every month or you bring
us in to do that every single month. Either one of those are fantastic and is something that would
help build liberty in your community.
So again, to follow the steps that we’ve outlined in our five things pamphlet.
Identify like-minded organizations to network with and to influence. Leaders are readers.
Keep building that library and read, read, read, read, read, read. And if you find yours,
I don’t know if I’ve said this in previous trainings, but this is kind of a failure of the
government education system. But growing up, when I graduated high school, I graduated not reading
a single book. I would pass tests. um i could read but i never read a book and i would pass the
test with like a c or a b just just passively listening in class to what they were talking about um
looking at the back of the book and using um you know basically common sense on reading the
question and what what are the options what are the answers and i could get a c or a b on the test
and so that’s how you pass and so i just you know like I didn’t it was very I found it difficult to
sit down and read for any length of time when I first started. And and so I understand that that’s
a struggle that you have. But what I did to get myself to be able to read more is to listen to
audio books at the same time as I had the book in front of me that that helped me kind of reinforce
it. And, you know, listening to. um just listening to things as opposed to having the visual
stimulation all the time made it easier to be able to sit and read a book for any length of time so
um if you if that’s not something if reading right now is not something that you’re like man i just
can’t sit and do that for a very long period of time um invest the time to practice and to do
different techniques to be able to help yourself you will um be grateful that you did mark yes
Yeah. Please tell us you went to government schools and you weren’t homeschooled. I was not
homeschooled. I went to a government school. Absolutely. OK, now it all makes sense.
The next thing is be a self-starter. Look, look, look for ways like you’ve gone to the trainings.
You watch the videos that I put up. You read the books. You’ve kind of you’ve got the gist of what
we’re about. See how.
Your interests, your skills, your knowledge, your abilities, your network. How can you implement
these things? How can you help spread these things through those, through your network, through
your talents, through your interests?
Don’t be commanded on all things. Think about how you can apply these things yourself. Find ways to
help more people discover the things we are doing and get involved. I mentioned starting your own
YouTube channel, starting your own blog. maybe there’s a different way that you can think of that
that i haven’t brought up um that that you can think of to help more people discover these things
and get involved uh denise yes this is a bit off subject but that project that micah was talking
about yeah um is it still gonna happen or that he is working on that and i would suggest he’s kind
of leading the charge and if that’s the project that you’re interested in He is the one leading
that, and you should definitely work directly with him with that. Okay, so ask him directly.
Okay. All right.
And so those are the things that we can start on.
I hope that in tonight’s training that I’ve shown you some things, given you kind of sparked the
imagination, given you some direction. This is what I can do. This is where I can go.
These are some steps that I can take right now to be able to say, okay, I’m involved.
I’m engaged. I’m doing something. I do not want you to be overwhelmed and say,
I’ve got to do all the things Ben said tonight. That is not what I’m saying at all. I’m saying
either pick one of those things or look at the big and say,
what is something that I would enjoy more than what he mentioned that I can think of myself that
accomplishes the same thing? and do that thing. So that’s going to be something really important
for us to work on.
So with that, is there any questions before we finish up? We’ve got a member,
Denise Croft, on tonight that has another project that we would love your help on. We’re going to
give her some time after we’re done. So I hope you’ll stick around and listen to what she has to
say. But before we wrap up, what I’ve talked about so far.
Any questions, any comments, any thoughts, any examples, any success stories?
Mark. So tonight’s topic was about advancing liberty.
I don’t want to be redundant, but the vast majority of Americans don’t have the means to advance
liberty. So we’re talking about means here because they don’t understand what liberty is.
So we’ve got to all be sure each of us understand. and each prospect each person we’re educating we
educate them on that and the founders did a great education for us they uh so it’s really important
we understand the only role of governments to protect our individual natural rights uh enable
rights we were born with and and everything beyond that uh is tyranny uh john john locke
essentially said exactly that so we have to defend liberty and ideology and law and then uh and
educate uh on how to nullify and stop the tyranny thank you yep and that’s that’s that’s the point
of what we’re doing right we’re building the understanding of the principles that have built free
nations and then applying those things we’re not just sticking to one or the other so can
i can i give that example of what i mentioned earlier about uh we run into politicians and and
their defenders when they execute tyranny by late rights, the one about, we’re talking about the
illegal to capture rainwater use for our own purpose.
So I confronted my mayor here. I’m in the fifth largest city in Utah at a city council meeting for
practicing, he and the city council practicing socialism, Marxism. And then I,
you know, I called it that and pointed it out. And also that it’s theft. His response to me,
originally he wouldn’t give a response, but he knew it was being televised, so he was a little
concerned.
When I pointed out all of them with a Marxist, and I pointed out exactly why, you know,
I made my case, and they were all thieves. You know, it was about taking taxpayer money and
starting businesses, buying golf courses, buying theaters, and,
you know, pure socialism. And his response was, Well, the people must want this because they voted
us into power.
And his name was Pike. You probably know. I think he’s the head of the insurance commission that
shouldn’t exist in our state right now. But anyway, so I think that’s extremely important,
this idea that you can do whatever you want with people’s rights as long as somebody votes you into
an office. Right.
Yeah, all of a sudden, anything’s okay as long as we all voted for it.
So you can’t take away somebody’s rights just because you all voted for it. My life isn’t yours.
I’m not to be your slave just because everybody else in town voted on it. And this is why they push
democracy so much because the rights aren’t mentioned. So whoever’s voted in the power can do
whatever they want.
President is a perfect example of that.
Any other questions?
Okay. Well, let’s have a closing prayer and then be prepared,
Denise Croft. And then, so after that, we’ll turn it over to you.
And Alan White, are you available to give the closing prayer? Just got to unmute if you are.
Okay. There you go.
He’s not interested. Thank you. Okay. Pam, are you available?
Maybe she doesn’t have her mic. Denise, how about you give the closing prayer, and then I’ll turn
the time over to you after that. How does that sound? Okay, that’s good. Thanks.
Our dear Heavenly Father, grateful for this day and for all of us that could meet together this
evening so we could speak and learn about liberty and how to advance.
ourselves in liberty help us to keep these steps in mind and um please help us to build up our
knowledge in our library of resources has been suggested that through thy spirit we can be able to
recall that which we need to when it’s in the very moment when we need to recall them because that
is thy promise that was given us we do treasure up those things of knowledge both through the
spirit and through seeking knowledge and we’re grateful for that which have and we got sleep to
bless us as we go along for our weeks and thank thee for thy blessing and say it seems me my son
