Member training from December 22nd 2025.
Tonight, Ben led part 2 of a discussion laying out both the background and the practical roadmap for what we do at the Tree of Liberty Society and why we do it, grounded in decades of experience studying tyranny, natural law, and successful efforts to restore liberty throughout history. Ben explained how real, lasting change only comes when we balance education with action—building understanding first, then stepping outside our comfort zones to influence culture, communities, and institutions. Drawing on real examples like the successful nullification of Real ID in Arizona, I show that organized, principled, local action can force even unwilling officials to do the right thing. This is not about short-term wins, political theater, or outsourcing responsibility, but about patiently informing people, working with others on single issues where agreement is possible, and steadily shifting culture so liberty can be defended and reclaimed for the long term.

and learn these things. And we’re grateful for thy spirit that dwells upon us to
give us a desire to do things and to make a difference. We pray thy spirit to be
with us all, wherever we might be, and bless this discussion, bless us to have
clarity and understanding of the things that we should do, that that would have us
pursue. We thank thee for thy blessings and for the goodness of our lives,
and we say this in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen. So there’s this
individual. I’ve actually, he’s, I’ve quoted him before from other things that he’s
shared, other things that he’s done as, not even as a, as a member. He’s not even
a member of the Tree of Liberty Society, but he’s one of our best promoters out
there. And so I wanted to share you this, share with you this video. And this is
an example of things that you can do yourself on social media. If you’ve got a
YouTube channel, Facebook, you know, all those types of things would be great.
for millions of deaths of people. And he said, no, no, no,
no, that’s, that is not the issue, the authoritarian leaders. The issue is,
the problem is the authoritarian followers.
When he said that, it was like something broke through to me. So I, I want to
share with you how to solve the problem of authoritarian followers.
Watch this.
Remember how Paul said that our wrestling is not with flesh and blood. So flesh and
blood is not the problem. Humans aren’t the problem. It’s the principalities. It’s
the powers. It’s the rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness
in high places. None of these have flesh and blood. It’s all about casting down the
imaginations. I see, these are invisible things.
tyranny. Folks, you’ve heard about nullification, right? That’s just saying no to
illegal edicts coming down from up above, right, of the so -called authoritarian
leaders. You can just say no to that. We’ve heard about interposition. A lot of us
are intercessors, right? We stand in between those that are headed for destruction
and destruction. We stand right in between them. But now you’re going to hear about
tyrannicide. And we have to make sure that we know what that means and how God
wants us to go about enabling him to move in such a way that tyranny is no longer
an element of life in this world, in this world.
And so again, the link will be in the description below. I don’t get any money
from this book. It’s very good. and we want to educate people, especially
So if you order it on Amazon and then you add your review of the book or you do
a video like that on your own social media pages, that’s a pretty big way to be
able to help us be able to build understanding and to be able to go on the
offense to be able to restore lost liberty. And so I just thought an example of,
hey, this is somebody that’s not even a member of the Tree of Liberty Society and
he’s doing this. so this is definitely
Yeah, Simon.
Sorry, I had to turn my microphone off. I just thought that was very well done,
very well thought out. I think we need more promoters of this on social media and
YouTube.
Yep, exactly. Thank you. Yeah, that’s what I’m asking us all to do for sure. Mark.
Yes, a few things he did, I think, that are good. That was basically an elevator
pitch, but it was…
providing to back up what he’s saying or give the details so I think that’s really
important often if you’re in a yet elevator often you don’t have that length of
time but most of the time we do have that kind of length of time and we really
need need to do that to to incorporate all three of those purposes that are very
important okay thank you
So, all right, I’m not sure if anybody else has any comments or thoughts on that.
One last point. So the point is with your own credibility, if you’re showing that
you don’t seem to know much about what you’re talking about the book or what you
can’t even describe with the book, how it backs up what you’re talking about and
how it relates and so forth, or less likely I think that whatever you’re offering
is going to be credible. So our own credibility to some extent. You read it first.
That’s for sure.
out the waters tonight we’re going to be expanding just continuing on what we talked
about last week with even more effective action items things attitudes things that we
can do that are you know they seem small but they are if we are all if we are
all doing them they will make a big impact and and again like I said last week
I’ve got you know 25 years of experience working on these things and knowing what
works and what doesn’t work in the long run.
and we need to build understanding of and adherence to the principles that have
built free nations, expose the conspiracy, and build an effective resistance to that
conspiracy. So again, and I’ve, as I’ve talked about before, and I want to just
bring up this, again, we don’t do the things that normal organizations do.
We don’t promote candidates. We don’t say run for office. We don’t raise money for
lawsuits. We don’t go around doing signatures and petitions.
don’t exist unless the government grants them to you. Your rights don’t exist unless
the right person’s in office. Your rights don’t exist unless you’re in office. Your
rights don’t exist unless the court says so, et cetera, et cetera. That’s what all
of these things have the presupposition of. And so we have to get out of that
mindset of I don’t have liberty unless this. You have liberty because God gave it
to you. And we really have to get that into our heads. Mark, go ahead. Yeah,
I don’t agree with you, but you’re not going to ban this from the organization if
we do one of these things, right? No, no. I’m trying to build understanding on the
effective, on things that are more effective. And so, especially, right, so what I’m
saying is, you know, we don’t do these things saying, I don’t have freedom unless
this, unless this turns out the way I want it to. If it is What are the larger
strategy? That’s a different story. But if we are doing it as most people do, as I
don’t have liberty unless this turns out right, we are doing it wrong and it won’t
work. Yeah. And two of them you can possibly do some right. But I generally agree
most of the time it’s useless or it’s ineffective. One is running for office. When
I ran for Congress, I used it as an educational tool. So what your organization is
educating on? I took advantage of that, and I was educating on it. Ron Paul
basically said the same thing to a great extent. Sure. So you can use Ronnie,
but you better know what liberty is and justice and a conspiracy and their tactics
and all the things we’re in the organization’s teaching. Voting possibly could be
effective. I mean, There are occasionally some good candidates in the second party,
you know, the Democrats and Republicans are the first party.
So, but they’re not going to win. So in that respect, not very unlikely it went.
It’s not effective. But in general, I think this is a good list you have here.
And it’s, and it would be even, even if it’s like for a larger strategy, it’s
still less effective effective than the things that we’re covering. And so if you’ve
got, you know, money and time that you’re putting into something, these are the
things that you will waste the most of, those two things. And so, and then the
things that we’re talking about of what the proper solution is will actually save
you money and save you time and have a bigger impact. Isn’t it listed in the bible
somewhere to petition the devil or petition the demons i i never read that verse
it’s up there yeah that really is kind of an app parallel yep absolutely so we’re
going to talk about an overview of what effective principles are continuing of them
right we we’ve talked about this in our boot camps we need to defend rights we
need to assert our rights and we need to take our rights. And the things that
we’ve covered last week and this week are examples of specific routes of doing those
three things. In the boot camps, we kind of had a broad view, right,
just speaking principally, whereas last week and this week, I’m going to be getting
into specific things that we can do. So attend town hall meetings.
So again,
if we are doing it, thinking that we are
not for, because this person isn’t trying to get evil to do the right thing
necessarily, their strategy is much bigger. And so I want to share that with you.
I wanted to talk about the gross books that are in our schools. So I’m going to
read a couple excerpts. One of them is push. This book is at Orangewood High School
on page 127. It says, Mike.
Pause your time, please. This is in your school at Orangewood. I understand that. I
just want to make you aware that, and that is fine when a parent checks
You just hope and wish that they would, you know, understand what’s going on and
both the right way. That’s not what she’s doing there. She is exposing them. She’s
embarrassing them and exposing them. And so that people can see who they really are.
And so, you know, is she going to get invited to meetings with these people? No,
she’s not. And that’s okay. We don’t, that’s not, there are tables that we’re not
supposed to sit at. And that’s an example of,
you know, conspirators, Satanists are, you know, their table is a table that I don’t
care to sit at. And so if I’m going to, if we’re going to offend them by calling
them out for what they are and exposing them for who they are, that’s an effective
use of attending a town hall meeting. Okay. So town hall meetings,
because not because you’re begging for permission or you’re going to expect or wait
for them to do what you’re asking, but you’re going there.
this was the government’s video feed of the meeting and then post it to social
media. Also, while you’re there, you’re passing out materials. You’re passing out pass
-along cards, slim jims, QR codes on pieces of paper, all those types of things to
those types, to the people that are in attendance to be able to learn more and to
be able to know what they can do about it to be able to help that situation,
whatever that specific situation is. Of course, you’re planning in advance of what
you’re going to do. But that’s just a great example. And even if there’s not like,
we don’t have to wait for a hot button topic. You know, we could go through and,
you know, in public comment at a meeting, you’re just reading the Declaration of
Independence and giving some bullet points of how we’ve, how we’re following the same
program as King George.
people that are there. You’re helping to educate those that will see it online. And
so that’s just those are just great. Those are the ways that we use town hall
meetings, not in the traditional of, you know, begging and, you know, looking at the
boot of the master, but using it to embarrass them and to educate others.
Okay. Also, so the next thing that we need to be doing,
us to be able to see what maybe we don’t see about ourselves. And we’ll start to
have those things be made plain to us. We’re like, oh, okay, that’s a more
effective way to do X. Or, oh, I do that thing that’s not very effective. I
shouldn’t do that anymore. And so they help us to without being offended because
somebody said, oh, you’re horrible at that. You’re just listening to a leadership
book and you’re saying, And you just recognize these things in yourself of what you
can be doing better or what you should stop doing because they’re just not
effective. And so if we want to be leaders in the Liberty Movement, leaders in
restoring lost liberty, leaders in exposing and routing the conspiracy, this is a
major thing that we need to be doing that is, it does take time.
So, you know, I’m not going to say that it’s going to save you time compared to
uh,
on following this right here is going to be astronomical compared to the things that
are less effective okay another very important thing is that we we have to be
motivated ourselves and we have to be good at motivating others maybe not good at I
shouldn’t say that because you know most of the time it’s just doing it, it’s just
showing up, is being effective. And so what I mean by motivated and yourself and
motivating others, mostly I’m saying that we need to be encouraging to others,
that when there is a program or there’s a plan that we’re not coming up with the
reasons why it won’t work, we are helping everyone say, let’s do this because we
are not going to say be naysayers. We’re not going to be Debbie Downers, right?
Where we’re just not going to like anything that anybody says, but we’re going to
be good, you know, positive influence on others to be engaged in the program.
Okay. So, right, this is something that I was dealing with when I first woke up is
I was learning about all these things, learning, listening to talk radio. I was
reading some books that were just talking about the problems. And I didn’t know what
to do about it. And so I was getting frustrating.
know, we listened to Glenn Beck and we’re like, oh, this Muslim problem is huge,
but we don’t educate ourselves on what the real problem is and what maybe is
leading to the migrant problem and illegal immigration problem. Then we’re going to
blame the wrong person, and then also get behind the wrong solution.
So we need to, we need to have the, we need to have both mixed together. We’ve
got to build our understanding and then use that understanding to effective action.
And so when we’re motivated and we’re positive about things, we must believe in the
importance of what is being asked. We must feel capable of performing what is being
asked and ultimately find personal satisfaction in doing what is being asked.
And so what I’ve noticed myself is people that are not engaged and involved,
they don’t see the impact of what others are, you know, if you’re not coming to
training or if you’re not participating in events, then you’re not seeing the
benefit. You’re not seeing the successes. You’re not seeing the light bulbs go on in
people. You’re not seeing the changes happening in others. And so you start to get
discouraged. And so being being actively engaged in the program helps you to be
satisfied because it’s keeping you motivated and positive. So focusing on that first
one, believing in the importance of what’s being asked. Hopefully through the
education and the training we go through, you know, we all better understand why it
is that we’re doing what we’re doing. And so that we can believe in the importance
of the program. Right. The members understand.
our understanding of real history, of real solutions, of real principles of liberty,
of what the conspiracy actually is, the more you build the understanding on that,
it’ll be obvious why the other things that people are talking about don’t work,
aren’t effective. And so you’re not going to be drawn to that like a moth of the
flame as the ignorant person will be so that’s very important helping yourself and
others read key books is also vital to strengthening understanding if you know there
are other members that that you know or have contact with just be like hey let’s
let’s let’s read this book together and or um maybe not together personally but
you’re like this week i’m going to read a couple of chapters of this book you can
talk about it together and so that way you’re you’re strengthening your understanding
and you’re also Bill
Also, the member who is out there doing these things and successfully doing it, when
he asks others to do, will earn the respect and confidence of others. The member
should avoid the trap of trying to do all the work too quickly, right? You don’t
want to just jump in when somebody else kind of doesn’t, when somebody else doesn’t
do their job the way that they should have, or maybe they completely drop the ball.
And so you’re like, well, it needs to be done. I better just jump in. We need to
take that opportunity to be encouraging.
around for a long time that has the understanding that has the experience and um
you ask them to i’m trying to think of something you know every there’s nothing
less important but you know if you’re just like hey make sure and hold these you
know pamphlets in case somebody asked for them you know if you give them something
really that mundane they’re going to say my talent my talents are wasted here and
so we have to get to know you know those people that were engaged
Okay, so find personal satisfaction in doing what is being asked. It takes self
-discipline to persist diligently and task merely because we believe in a long -term
goal.
Sorry,
I’m just going to mute you to get rid of that echo.
Regardless of how selfless our commitment, we can all perform better the more we can
find personal.
And we’re going to be somebody that’s in here for the longevity, that we’re not
going to be a flash in the pan. We are going to be not somebody that just goes
away because we didn’t see a change in, you know, six months. But we’re like,
okay, you know, we’re seeing a change in the things that we’re engaged in. We’re
seeing the effects of the things that we are personally involved in. And so if
we’re just waiting to be told what to do, you’re not going to see that. And so
you’re not going to find the personal satisfaction. And so if you want to be
something that’s in this for the long haul, this is something that you need to take
to heart and start to accomplish and to fulfill.
So we should not underestimate the value of setting a good example with a positive
attitude and personal perseverance. If others are seeing you with your good attitude
saying yes this is awesome let’s do this um i’ll buy you know 10 books or you
know 50 books to pass out at this event who’s going to come with me you’re going
to start to you know have leadership you’re going to start to be a leader and draw
people that aren’t part of the movement into the movement you’re going to get people
that are already involved get them more involved because they see your example and
your perseverance.
Also, we have to recognize that we’re fighting a difficult, frustrating war where
instant solutions are not really possible, right? This is not something, you know,
we’ve been doing this for a while, and we’ve seen successes in some areas,
but winning the actual war is something that has, you know, wins and losses,
some frustrations and it takes being a part of this, you know, for the long haul.
And so if we take these things into account, it will help us to be motivated in
those kind of those, those valleys and get us to those next peaks where we’re
having fun. We’re doing something exciting and we’re motivated and then that’ll get
us through the next valley up to the next peak. And So just to recap some of the
things that we’ve talked about, well, all the things we talked about last week and
this week, the things that we need to do is our job is number one job is always,
no matter what we’re doing is to build understanding, because without that
understanding, they’re not going to want to be engaged.
We do that through group presentations, pamphleting our neighborhoods,
where other people have events. We have tables there to distribute literature. We set
up ad hoc committees, meaning committees that are focused on a single topic. I gave
the example of exposing satanic ritual abuse or a committee to educate on
nullification. So those are examples of single issue committees that we bring in
people from, you know, that might not agree with the other things that we’re talking
about. You know, somebody that doesn’t understand conspiracy will say, yeah,
nullification is very important. And so they’ll get engaged in that single issue
committee. The next thing is to attend, speak, and record what you’ve said,
and the distribute materials at town hall meetings. Make sure that we are reading
regularly, because if we’re not, we’re not going to be a leader. And then motivate
others. We should be helping others to be motivated and positive about the things
that need to be done, even though they’re not, these things that I’m showing right
here, they’re not sexy like lawsuits. They’re not sexy like getting so -and -so
elected, right? So they’re not as exciting. And so they’re not, they’re not that
flame that moths are drawn to. But these are the things that actually lay the
foundations for sustained and strengthened efforts later in the long run,
to make sure that the things that we do have a lasting impact that they won’t have
if we focus on the things that people generally talk about that we’ve mentioned are
less effective. These are the things that are actually effective in the long term,
even though we might not see it in the short term.
And so we want to make sure that we’re doing that and so that we can actually
have the long -term success that we need to be able to build the societies,
right, build that follow the principles that have built free nations, expose the
conspiracy, and route that conspiracy. And if we don’t do these things, then we’re
not going to be very effective at doing what we need to be doing so now we want
what we want to accomplish so those are getting into specifics i know in trainings
you know in the boot camps like i said before we got into the the macro where
here’s the principle here’s the idea and then now here’s the nitty of how we do
those things and so if we go back to these trainings on a regular basis every
month even every couple of months we go back and we look at these things we say
okay this is how I am going to be successful.
We, again, like I said, this is a shorter training than usual, but I’d like to
open it up to any questions, comments on the principles that we’ve covered this week
and last week.
Mark. Yes, I like to talk about motivation and then also the town hall meetings.
I’ll start with the town hall meetings. I’ve been to about 20, maybe a couple dozen
of them over the years. And they are really a good opportunity. Let me talk about
handouts. Handouts are very valuable at those meetings. One reason is the people are
activists to the extent that they care enough to show up for the meetings. So
that’s better than the average person on the street. One of the things we used to
do in a Birch Society, and one of the common handouts, is hand out the voting
record of the politician that’s speaking. And that has been quite effective.
I’ll make these really quick examples. I’ve been confronted congressmen in assembly
since I was in high school. And one congressman, this is in the late 80s,
Republican, voted for every gun control bill. There were some gun control bills up
when he was in office, and I was exposing his record and also exposing about five
or six of the main unconstitutional votes Based on literature, he was handing out.
And he got so angry, he demanded, he was a former Marine, demanded I sit down,
and then he proceeded to tell the group, and my church chapter later at the time
was there as a witness and others told us that what made America great,
literally said this, was a congressman violating the Constitution for 200 years.
And if you don’t like it, you should data the country. And what happened is that
several people, including my capital year, they took that information to others that
they associated with, other organizations. And it really apparently had a walking
feet. And he ended up getting voted out of power. I don’t know to what extent at
that meeting probably didn’t make the difference. But it might have. But I’ve had
other Congress, a state senator, I was…
question. And what they’ve done, this is one of the points I want to make about
this, they’re narrowing your opportunity to give feedback to expose them at these
meetings. First of all, they’re having fear and fewer of them. I’ve saw it in
California going on. Now I really see here in Utah where my congressman hasn’t had
any that I know of and then they keep it kind of quiet one time. There was one
day notice they’re going to have a town hall meeting. Another thing they’re doing is
they’re asking for questions being written out and then you hand it into them so
they can answer part of it or read part of the question or not read it at all.
I’ve had a number of cases where they’re in read the question at all. So they know
it’s a little dangerous to have somebody up there that state representative I was
confronting. The mic was still open. This is an 80s, so they don’t do that anymore.
So I kept exposing, this is your job discretion. You took an oath to God, divide
by the Constitution, and you don’t know where your authority is for these things you
say you’re doing. And what happened is two suits. I call them the suits, her Pete
Haddlers, came up, or rushed up to both sides of her and started whispering in her
ear and so forth. And give you some idea of the impact. I saw her about six,
seven years later while I was giving a speech and she was talking to
A conspiracy is an organization, or you can call it an army. Either one is fitting
a description. And you can’t win, defeat an army if you don’t have your own army.
We need to be an army acting concerted action. There’s concerted actions much more
effective than all of us on our own, going, you know, all different directions.
And so that’s why an organization like Trade of liberty that understands what’s going
on and what the solution and where they’re taking us is so valuable because we’re
an organization and only organizations really can be effectively effective against a
conspiracy absolutely thank you i’d love to hear from as many of you as possible
yeah brittany thank you um i just wanted to say that i started reading on our kind
of we have like a kindle app a couple of books and i kind of go back and forth
between them but I would say like reading.
okay I am doing something like that I can still be like trying like I’m still
reading and I really want to make sure that like I’m really understanding things
because I’m kind of one of those people that like I feel like I have to know
everything before I can share it and um the more I read the more confident I am
and sharing things from the Tree of Liberty Society and I’m not brave enough yet to
do it on social media um and I know that that time will come but I’m not there
yet but I think with my continuation of reading I think that will just continue to
help me feel confident in the knowledge and understanding to be able to share more
things so absolutely that’s awesome I’m so glad that you’re doing that I was amazed
myself I you know I have not been the greatest reader you know through my time but
you know like I’ve said before in trainings where I’ll buy three different versions
of the same book where you have the physical
And so I just, just, I really appreciate what you said there, Brittany, because it’s
another witness to what I’ve seen myself is that reading just takes everything to
the next level.
Mark. Yes, on the King Dully show, she’s thinking about 5 ,000 my calls over the
last 10 years. Looking back, I realize that often I’m citing books.
I’m citing part of a message is from a book and promoting books. And one of the
books is the Bible. I found myself more than anybody to click me, citing from the
Bible. So I don’t know, was that Pam that was just talking? Brittany. Who?
Whitney. Okay. So that shows credibility. If he starts spouting out about a subject
that you don’t adequately know it, and, of course, applying logic to it to the
issue, you can do more harm than good. So it’s important to always keep your
integrity and credibility.
Yep. Just like to suggest it. Thank you.
I’d love to give more people an opportunity to chime in. But if not,
we’ll go ahead and do open forum, have a closing prayer first. Kay Jenkins? Oh,
Micah, yes.
Oh, there we go. Can you hear me? Yep.
Interesting enough, I think it was two days ago, somebody that I don’t talk to very
much called me to say that they…
find the link to that i’d love to i’d love to have it yeah and then and he said
it was inspiring for whatever it’s like it’s not like i was even shut i don’t even
know anything about it so sometimes you can do this stuff and you really affect
people and you don’t you don’t really know it and yeah usually you don’t know it
you don’t really get feedback right um so sometimes you just need to have faith
that doing something like that is
Christ. Amen. Thank you.
